Delavan Boat Shed

Brand Identity

Delavan Boat Shed is a multi generational boat storage and wood boat restoration company. Originally, the company only wanted us to add a sales portion to their website. During the discovery phase for that project, they decided that they would like to rebrand as well.

The goal of the project was to give their brand a clean and modern look; unifying both fiber glass and wood boats and communicating that they are a one stop shop for all boat solutions.

DBS transports a lot of large boats to the nearby lakes. Branding on a black truck, with he logo over the front passenger door.
Branding implemented onto hats and polos to see how it would work as embroidery.

The Process

Full spread of sketches from geometric anchors to burgees and different orientations of boats.
Started to explore more of the boat. shapes and different angles. There are quite a few that are looking at the front.
Back to the playing stage of combining bot a boat and anchor. Using just text and going to the bare minimum of shelter and storage as a box.
